ADD PHASE

DTPS = Damage Taken Per Second

PLD in Shield Oath - Total 1751 DTPS - No Defensive Buffs - Duration 37 seconds - At Peak of 2175 DTPS for 22 seconds until the second add dies.

This means there's a total of 2188 DTPS in Sword Oath (1751 without the 20% Damage Reduction of Shield Oath)

So that means it would be 1094 DTPS per Tank in DPS Stance (2188 DTPS over two Tanks instead of all on one Tank)

HPS = Healing per second

Regen + Asylum = 1055 HPS for 21 seconds.
Selene = 700 HPS

Combined Healing = 2810 (1055 Per Tank + 700 from Selene) This is just with Regen on Each Tank + Each Tank in the Bubble.

Required Healing = 2188

Benefits to Dual Tank on Fausts. Main Heal full DPS. No tank CD's required. Better snap agro on adds since efficient DPS requires splitting DPS on adds.

Faust Pull -> Because they Cleave they should be pulled like this so they end up beside each other facing out, unable to cleave both tanks. (A2S Style)

Split Openers Given our Party Composition

Show Spoiler

Paladin (Sword Oath) - Shield Lob, Fast Blade, Savage Blade, Fight or Flight, Rage of Halone, Circle of Scorn, Fast Blade, Spirit's Within, Riot Blade, Sheltron, Goring Blade, Shield Swipe, Royal Authority Combo add till death.

Warrior (Defiance/Unchained Pull) - Shield Lob, Heavy Swing, Maim, Berserk, Storm's Eye, Brutal Swing, Heavy Swing, Skull Sunder, Deliverance, Butchers Block, Decimate, Infuriate, Decimate, Butchers Block Combo to finish off any adds + Mercy Stroke.

White Mage - Just before pull - Regen both tanks and place Asylum over where adds will be tanked. Asylum does not pull enmity when placed - Aero III, Aero II, Aero II, Presence of Mind, Holy, Holy, Shroud of Saints, Holy, Assize -> Holy more if there are two adds, Stone III if there is only 1 left.

Scholar - Adlo + E4E - Deployed to both tanks. Shadow Flare in place. B2, M, B, Bane, Aero, Energy Drain, Aero, Energy Drain, Aetherflow. Broil Warriors add. Save 1 Aetherflow for Sacred Soil. Adds will be tanked in the center so Hummel fall damage will be high when only moving to the corner.

Bard - Foes pre-pull outside agro range - Quelling, HE, B4B, RS, IR 3 seconds pre-pull - Straight Shot precast for tank pull, RoD, WB, Battle Voice, VB PLD Add Flaming Arrow WB/VW WAR Add - Barrage + EA War Add. Sidewinder War Add. Quick Knock + RoD till adds die. Misery's End where applicable

Ninja - Shadewalker PLD prepull - Typical Huton Precast - Suiton cast Prepull - Suiton - SE, GS, B4B+IR, DE on PLD Add - Trick Attack, Kassatu + Doton, Shadow Fang on PLD add.
Swap to War add - Aeolian Edge Combo + Duality, Dream within a Dream, burn War's add while maintaining Huton for Hummel drop. Do not dot the War's add because it wont live long enough to benefit.

Smokescreen on the WAR a few GCD's after Hummel drops will allow the WAR to use more Butchers Block Combo's if the PLD/DRG is MTing. Otherwise use it on the WHM.

Black Mage - Quelling, Leylines, Sharpcast prepull - B3, RS, F3, F4, F1, F4, F4, F4, F3, Swift Cast, Flare, Convert, Flare, Ether, Flare, Traspose, B4. Adds should be dead by this point. If not focus down whichever one has the most HP.

Suggested to start with B3 simply to not pull agro and as well to guarantee enough MP for first Flare. It also allows you to use Raging Strikes later in the opener with minimal clipping to make sure it extends to the 3rd Flare.

Monk? (not too sure on monk) - PB - Twin Snakes - DEMO PLD add, DEMO WAR add, AOE all the things? - Requies Goad? Otherwise Goad on BRD

Changes will allow us to Peak closer to 40k Burst DPS and kill both adds in ~20 seconds. Then it's on to burning Hummel

HUMMEL PHASE

Hummel - 80s = 221.7k Damage to MT in Shield Oath = 2770 DTPS (This is what the current damage is)

Selene - 775 HPS - Regen - 823 with Divine Seal - Cure 2111 HPS (This is the average HPS combined with Rouse and Divine Seal)

Recommended CD Rotation which will be timed for Kahlstral which is the highest MT Burst DTPS outside of Panzers

Rampart as Hummel Falls (timed for when he actually hits, this will not reduce the fall damage but that is fine)
Foresight + Bullwark 10 seconds after Rampart falls off - Sheltron for the Kahlstral

Sentinel after Bullwark falls off.

Hallowed Ground after Sentinel Falls off.

Comparison

MT in Sword Oath with a tight CD Rotation Faster DPS and Hallowed - 2300 DTPS reduction of 470 DTPS while in Sword Oath VS Shield Oath, less damage due to fight ending sooner and avoiding double Panzer allows a tighter usage of defensive CD's allowing Hallowed to be used sooner and overall less raid damage.

Allows for almost 100% DPS from both healers.
–––––––––––––

Alternatively you can have the WAR pick up Hummel. Time the WHM Medica II for the landing which when used with Provoke will give the WAR a huge Enmity Lead to open with Storm's Path (NIN Will use Dancing Edge) then full on Butcher's Block Combo's. The WAR can burn their defensive CD's and then the PLD can Cover + Hallowed Ground which will allow the PLD to use their stronger DPS skills while not having to hold hate.

Ratfinx

Key Points
- When Ratfinx is big he takes 30% less damage
- Our group takes about 6 minutes on this fight.
- Due to Ratfinx going big at the start of the fight only buffs/skills 60s CD or less should be used on the opener.
- There are 3 GCDs on the opener while he takes normal damage before he goes big. (Creates a window where using a combination of your most potent 3 GCD's creates a huge bonus in damage)
- DOTs are snapshotted to the higher potency if applied before he changes. (DoTs are typically the most potent skills/GCD and melee DoTs are unaffected by Piercing/Slashing/Blunt Debuffs)

Example Openers
BRD Opener - Inner Release, Windbite, Flaming Arrow, Venom Bite, Sidewinder, Empyreal Arrow, Blunt Arrow, Straight Shot. (allows all dots to be placed before he goes big)
NIN - Suiton, Trick, Mutilate, Mug, Spinng Edge, Jugulate, Shadow Fang

WAR Starting Tank

Reasoning - OT PLD on Pull is able to apply Goring Blade, where as with a WAR, PLD, NIN Composition it is ideal for WAR to immediately apply Storm's Eye regardless if they are MT or OT.

With the Defiance + Unchained + Berserk into Deliverance double Fell Cleave opener it will offer incredible burst to push Prey and can be completely finished just before the tank swap mechanic @ 22 seconds. This also allows War to use Vengeance as a defensive CD to both push Abadon Stacks and reduce Damage Taken Per Second.

(If DPS is really good, an alternative is to have the War Open with Unchained + Defiance into Deliverance but to align Berserk + Triple Fell cleave for when the boss turns small)

With PLD OT on the Pull, if the Tank Swap Mechanic is a punch and not a soak then PLD can use Tempered Will to prevent the knock back reducing the need to be completely against the wall for knock back. (DRK can use Plunge)

After the initial Pull. PLD will become the new MT.

MT Defensive CDs - Should only be used during Biggie. When Ratfinx is small he hits like a wet noodle.

Rotate buffs when he turns big again which will be @ 3:10 that same order of buffs will be back up. Sentinel + Foresight - Rampart Bullwark using Shelltron for
Gobcut

A6S

A6S - Full DPS on Blaster to skip Mirages.

War MT Opener - Defiance - pop Infuriate, wait 25 seconds. Raw Intuition (Refresh Stacks) Wait 20 seconds. Unchained. Use Berserk running in. Heavy Swing, Brutal Swing, Maim, Storm's Eye, Heavy Swing, Skull Sunder, Butcher's Block, Deliverance,Fell Cleave, Infuriate, Fell Cleave. -> Highest Burst MT War Opener using Defiance + Unchained for snap aggro.

Blaster DTPS - 1250 - Required Heals - Normal Regen + Roused Fairy = 1600 HPS - Requires no Defensive CD's and no additional heals for duration of Mirage Push. Recommended Virus on Pull for initial Brute Force burst damage.

Boss Damage Types for tank CD's
Blaster - All Physical Attacks

Brawler - All Magical Attacks other than Drill Drive/Rocket Drill/Chakrams (Including Power Plasma Gamma/Power Plasma Beta) - Physical CD's, Foresight, Sheltron, Bullwark do not work on Magic Damage an cannot be Parried/Blocked.

Swindler - Magic/Shadow Attacks.

Note on Shadow Magic: Is unaffected by Magic Defense or Physical Defense or INT/STR Down skills. Only straight up damage reductions skills will work. Bio-Arithmetics is Shadow Magic and is unaffected by Virus, Dragon Kick etc.
Shielding, Sacred Soil, Storm's Path etc direct damage reduction skills do work.

Vortexer - Physical Attacks - other than Crashing Wave, Fire Beam, Crashing Thunder and Ice Missle.
––––––––––––––––––––––

Boss Damage Dealt Per Second to Tanks

Blaster - 1300 DDPS - Hits like a wet noodle

Brawler - 1800 DDPS - Hits a little hard when including Double and Single
Busters. Otherwise his normal attacks are weak.

Swindler - 800 DDPS - Outside of Bio-Arithmetic's he is incredibly weak - Tank DPS Stance for days. Will not even need CD's.

Vortexer - 1300 DDPS - Vortexer is surprisingly weak when dealing damage directly to the tank. The main issue is the Crashing Thunder, Brute Force and Forward Cannon all happening at the same time for a combined damage of 31,000 Damage to the MT. This needs to be mitigated with something big that also reduces Magic Damage, Sentinel. No other combination of PLD CD"s will do squat (Because Hallowed was blown on Swindler for adds). But luckily if you haven't used Sentinel since after Brawler went Invincible then you will be fine, and since there wasn't really a need for CD's on Swindler, if you are brave you could also take Vortexer in DPS stance and eat that single big hit with Rampart + Sentinel, to take that whopping 31k to a manageable, 16k while in DPS stance.

A7S

War Opening MT - Unchained Defiance too OP.
PLD OT - Will switch to MT during Bomb Tank Swap.

Quickthinx DDPS - This guy is weak - He is only putting out 1100 DDPS. To put that in perspective. A Roused Fairy does 1000 HPS and a normal Fairy does 700 HPS. A normal Regen is 600 HPS and a Divine Seal Regen is 780 HPS.

What he does have is: Random Mechanics
Sizzlespark - Between 6 - 10k per player depending on how many happen in a row. - Happens 8 Seconds After he drops back down.

Sizzle Beam - 10 seconds after he drops

Uplander Doom - 4 seconds after drop

- Uplander Doom is a Physical Tank Buster. It does a series of attacks (4 hits for phase 1). Each attack applies a stack of physical vulnerability. There are a couple ways to handle this: take 0 damage from a hit and don't get the vuln stack (either through Hallowed Ground or healer shields), do a tank swap beforehand and put stacks on OT then swap back, or do a tank swap after the attacks. Each successive hit happens 2 seconds apart combined with his Auto Attacks that happen 3 seconds apart. Uplander

The best way to deal with Uplander Doom is for the OT to provoke the boss during it's cast and take the stacks. OT can take up to 4 stacks without heals or tank CD's (22k damage over 4 stacks), then swap back.

During parts where the OT is not available:
During either of the first two jails - Living Dead/Hallowed Ground.
Anywhere else just use heavy tank CD's: i.e. Sentinel or Rampart + Foresight.
Tank CD's don't need to be used anywhere else so no reason a combination of CD's to reach 40% mitigation can't be used where required.

Panzer Dolls - Weak - Like 900 DDPS - Burn them down
Sturm Doll - Weak - And they get stunned - Burn them down

Basically? Tank DPS stances for 100% of the fight. No reason not to.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

During Cages - The only thing to worry about as long as no one fails mechanics is:
A - If anyone will need to be topped prior to a Sizzlespark
B - Uplander Doom
C - Sizzle Beam

Everything else is weak and does not required Tank CD's or healing outside of Fairy/Regen.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

So to note:

Tank Damage in this fight is extremely low when properly taken care of and should not require any tank stance even for Uplander Doom. CD's can be saved for Uplander Doom and Tank Jails

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Speed Running this fight trivializes it by burning the boss before the final Ball Phase.
