To understand how accuracy works I think it's important to know how it worked in 2.0. In 2.0 it was simple to get the accuracy baseline at level 50. Basically you just AA'd a lvl 50 Dummy from the Front/Flank/Rear until you had a baseline value for the minimum accuracy at lvl 50 (341) This value was:
Front 90% Flank 95% Rear 100%
Accuracy was worth 4.4 Points @ 1%
What that meant was that no matter the content, the difference between Front -> Flank and Flank -> Rear was always 22 points of accuracy or 5% ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-
Fast forward to 3.0 and now we have an increased level cap of 60, with a baseline accuracy of 354. Also testing on the level 60 Training Dummy is not as easy because now it seems that Front accuracy is 94.5% - 95% on the lv 60 Dummy (tested @ 3000 hits lvl 60 @ 354 Base Accuracy), meaning that all other positions are capped.
So I had to confirm the % between positions with a level 50 class, since it would put it way below accuracy cap. (Updated information though assistance from iDervy)
LVL 50 PLD @ 341 ACC on a LVL 60 Dummy 33073 Swings - 75.08% - Rear 20559 Swings - 69.994% - Flank 17137 Swings - 65.052% - Front
Level 60 Mobs still have the same 5% -> Front, Flank, Rear value as level 50 Mobs, the only thing that changes is the value of each point of ACC @ Level 60 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
How much is accuracy worth?
Base Frontal Accuracy on a Level 60 Mob is 95%. Testing shows that it requires 54 Points of accuracy to hit 100% frontal accuracy. This means that it requires 10.8 points of accuracy for 1%.
54 Accuracy/5% = 10.8 for 1% –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-
